2 tablespoons olive oil
4 cloves garlic
2 teaspoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon liquid smoke
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoons black pepper
1 lb sirloin steak OR boned, skinned chicken breasts

(For peppers and onions)
2 tablespoons water
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon lime juice
dash of salt
dash of pepper

1 Spanish onion - sliced in thin rings
1/2 green bell pepper - sliced in thin strips
1/2 red bell pepper - sliced in thin strips
1/2 yellow bell pepper - sliced in thin strips

Combine the lime juice, oil, garlic, soy sauce, liquid smoke, cayenne and black pepper, and steak or chicken in a plastic container or zipper top plastic bag and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.

Discard leftover marinade.

Grill meat over medium flame 4-5 minutes on each side. Cut meat into thin strips. Set aside and keep warm. Combine the water, soy sauce, lime juice, salt, and pepper. Set aside. Cook onions and peppers in oil until brown. Remove from heat. Pour reserved mixture over onions and peppers. Combine meat, onions, and peppers.

Serve on flour tortillas with cheese, guacamole, tomatoes, sour cream, and lettuce.
